IN DURHAM, AT DUKE,
A WORLD ALIVE WITH PERFORMANCE.

Welcome to a year of performance unlike any other. In the midst of wars, storms, and domestic pressures unmatched since Vietnam, America has been challenged to reimagine itself, and to recalibrate its relationship to the rest of the globe. In this election year, Duke Performances is proud to present seven series aimed at revealing the ways art intertwines with life. Focused on engagement, inspired by history, rooted in place, these 50 programs link art and its context, aesthetics and the action required of us now.
